Micah put on a @couchxcouchwest session for us less fortunate fools unable to attend the SxSW festivities. “In Pacific Time” is a teaser off the new TCG record, and if this any indication on how the album is going to be, I’m sold. Peep it.
We’ve mentioned our buddies Fistful of Beard several times over the past couple of years that we’ve been doing this here blog thing, so you should know about them by now. Well, we just got word that our brothers from Alabaman mothers will be officially hitting the studio at the end of March and plan to deliver a full length album after that. Another cool thing is that they’ve enlisted Andy Jackson of Hot Rod Circuit to help with the recording. Coolest thing is that they’re offering their self-titled EP for a “name your price” amount on their BandCamp, which you can access HERE. Don’t be a buster, toss them a few bones.
Just stopping by to toss out some stuff that’s been going on and some things that I feel that you should be made aware of in the world.
- Uncle Slapdick from This is American Music just emailed us this morning to give us a heads-up about this FREE DOWNLOAD from the District Attorneys. I really dig their style, it’s groovy.
- Our good bud and one of our favorite musicians Kasey Anderson is almost done asking for help to fund his upcoming record. It’s not a Kickstarter because of some reasons he talks about here, but you can GIVE HIM MONEY HERE.
- Another one of our favorites, Truckstop Darlin’ is just hours away from closing out their Kickstarter for the their second album, and they could use some of your money. GO GIVE THEM SOME.
- The infinitely talented BMoss has started another project that we think you should know about. They’re called Great Apes, and you can get some tracks HERE.
- Finally, there are a bunch of hella good shows coming up here in the Bay Area, and us doods will be at one or all or some combination of them. This is one, so is this, and also this.
- Okay, I’m off to watch the horrible trainwreck that is The Bachelor. I hate that I watch the show, but if you’re looking for a hilarious weekly recap of the show, check out THIS BLOG.
We’re late to the game on this because we didn’t have our effin’ site, k. One of Fort Collins’ finest, Arliss Nancy has an album coming out at the end of March and just last week they gave us their teaser track, “St. Forgot.” Holy shit this song rocks! And, guest vocals from Lizzie Huffman, Jon Snodgrass, and Micah Schnabel to boot. Dig it.
